The shape of his nose, the height of his cheekbones, the childhood scars that marked him. Why, I have often wondered, did the Gospel writers not tell us what he looked like? It would have been so easy. Could there have been a line drawing penciled in the margins of those ancient scrolls, but it did not make it into the sacred book. And how in the world we ended up with the stereotypical images of Jesus we DO have, especially since any real physical description is absent from the Bible.
